Winter is coming! Help the hard-working Plow King keep the Mega-Low-Mart parking lot clean and clear for holiday shoppers. Avoid cars and pedestrians or you're out of a job – and it's game over.

But first you have to make the game.

Learn (or practice) computer game programming with MIT's "Scratch," which allows you to create your own interactive stories, animations, games, music, and art – and share your creations on the web. Start with a player character, or "sprite." Add movement and animation. Then add obstacles and enemies. You will need an e-mail address (either your own or a parent's) in order to share your work online. Or, you can bring your project home on a USB drive or CD.

To learn more about Scratch before signing up, visit their home page at https://scratch.mit.edu. Scratch is free to download or use in your web browser.
