February Vacation 2014: Engineers Wk

The Museum offers a day long (9am – 3pm) program to enrich the hours of the school holidays. This year, during the Olympics, we will offer two days of projects to match the line up in Sochi and three days of open ended MAKE projects.

Fee per day: $60 ($56 for members)

Before and after care (7:30 am – 5:30 pm) is available at $8 per hour.

We will compress a whole Winter Olympics into one or two days. The sports are a blend of art, science, invention and discipline. Master the mechanisms of miniature mechanical movement.

Monday, Feb 17th: Winter Scratchlympics

Recreate all the fun and excitement of winter sports without the wind chill! Using Scratch, a simple web-based programming language developed in MIT's Media Lab, make characters, or "sprites" who will race for the best time in a down-hill slalom skiiing game. Can you teach this cat to ski?
